Quick help

The fastest path through Miles's main features. If you can't find what you need here, scroll on to the FAQ or just email.

Pick your two languages

On first launch you choose the language you speak and the one you're learning. Both can be any of the 13, and you can change either later from Profile without losing progress.

The guided path

1000 words, 24 categories, split into levels of ten. Each level is flashcards, then a short quiz to lock it in before the next one unlocks. The Learn tab shows exactly where you are.

Practice your weak words

The Practice tab tracks which words you keep missing and drills them in multiple-choice rounds. Finish a session and see an accuracy ring, plus what got stronger and what still needs work.

The word dictionary

The Words tab holds all 1000, searchable and filterable by category or learned/new. Tap any word to hear it spoken aloud.

Streaks and ranks

Show up daily to keep your streak. Your rank climbs from Starter to Master as your learned-word count grows, tracked per language pair.

Works offline

Every word in every language ships inside the app, and your progress is saved on the device. No connection is needed to study.

Miles Pro

Free to start. Pro unlocks the full experience, available as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown on the paywall in the app.

Delete your data

Deleting the app wipes your on-device progress. To delete your account, email support and we remove your sign-in record for good.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use Miles?+

Yes. You sign in with Apple, Google, or email so the app has an identity to attach your Miles Pro purchase to. Your actual learning progress is stored on your device, not on our servers.

Which languages does Miles support?+

Thirteen: Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. All 1000 words exist in every one, so you can learn any of them from any of them.

Can I learn a language from something other than English?+

Yes, that's the whole point. You pick both ends. Learn Japanese from Spanish, French from Arabic, English from Korean, whatever pair you want.

Can I change my languages later?+

Yes. Open Profile and change the language you're learning or the one you speak at any time. Your progress is kept.

Does Miles work offline?+

Completely. All 1000 words in all 13 languages ship inside the app, and your progress is saved on your device. You can study on a plane or with no signal at all.

How does the guided path work?+

The Learn tab is a single path through all 24 categories, split into levels of ten words. Each level starts with flashcards, then a short multiple-choice quiz to confirm it stuck before the next level unlocks.

What does the Practice tab do?+

It keeps a running list of the words you're weakest on and drills them in quick multiple-choice rounds, with sound and haptic feedback on each answer. A session ends with an animated accuracy ring and a breakdown of what got stronger.

What's in the Words tab?+

A full dictionary of all 1000 words, searchable and filterable by category or by learned/new. Tap any word to hear it spoken aloud.

Are there other practice modes coming?+

Flashcards, the per-level quiz, and the weak-word Practice drill are all live today. Additional modes like listening and matching are marked coming soon inside the app.

What are ranks and the streak?+

Your rank climbs from Starter to Explorer, Rising, Fluent, and Master as your learned-word count grows. The streak counts consecutive days you study. Both are just there to keep momentum, there's no penalty for a day off beyond the streak resetting.

What's free and what's Pro?+

Miles is free to start. Miles Pro unlocks the full experience, offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Exact prices are shown on the paywall inside the app and are set per region by Apple.

Does my progress sync across devices?+

Not yet. Progress is stored on the device you learn on, so it does not currently move to a second phone or tablet. Cross-device sync may come in a future update.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?+

Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. Your Miles Pro entitlement is tied to your Apple ID, so it comes back once you're signed in to the same App Store account you bought it with.

Is Miles on Android or the web?+

Miles launches on iPhone. There's no Android or web version yet.

I'm having a billing or store issue.+

Apple handles every subscription transaction. For refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For entitlement issues (showing as not Pro when you just paid), email support@moetalaat.com with your receipt and I'll sort it.

How do I delete my data or account?+

Deleting the app removes your on-device progress. To delete your account, email support@moetalaat.com from the address on the account (or use the in-app account deletion option where available), and I'll remove your sign-in record. It's irreversible.
